Monday, December 16th Screamfest NOLA and Timecode bring you the 40th anniversary screening of Silent Night, Deadly Night, the controversial Christmas horror film that sparked an outrage! When the film was released in 1984, people were so outraged that it depicted Santa as a spree killer in the advertisements and terrified children of Santa that people showed up to theaters picketing the film, leading to the distributor pulling it from theaters after only a week. Luckily, sanity prevailed, and this horror cult classic is readily available to watch and enjoy, including with us! Also joining us via virtual Q&A after the show will be Linnea Quigley, Scream Queen extraordinaire that plays Denise in the film, and would go on to star in such films as Return of the Living Dead, Creepazoids, Night of the Demons, Pumpkinhead 2, and many, MANY more.
