June’s Pride Film Festival, presented by The Broad Theater and the Crescent City Leathermen, is
a look back at LGBTQ+ films from pre-2000. These films drew praise, criticism, and sometimes
cult status — for their portrayal of LGBT+ life, or in ways that captured the attention of the
community. We often overlook these issues today. Come see the films that shaped our
